Kyiv hosts Ukraine’s first drone and robotic systems parade on Independence Day.

Ukraine’s Independence Day, Kyiv hosted its first parade of Ukrainian unmanned and robotic systems on Monday.

Nearly 100 pieces of equipment developed and scaled up by Ukraine’s defense industry during the full-scale war were showcased on Khreshchatyk, on the Dnipro River, and in the skies above the capital. Several classes of Ukrainian drones were also demonstrated in the skies above the capital. 

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said that over the years of war, the country had effectively built a new defense industry focused on technological solutions and the real needs of the modern battlefield. The parade marking the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence differed from traditional military parades of previous years.
