Antalya is home to the world’s only fallow deer breeding and conservation center, located in the Dosemealti district of Turkiye. Known for their distinctive beauty and shy nature, fallow deer are being specially protected in their natural habitat at the facility.

The population has now reached 290, but the species remains under threat of extinction. At the Duzlercami Wildlife Development Area in Antalya, the fallow deer are closely monitored by conservation teams, provided with supplementary feed at designated feeding stations to support their nutrition.
