Prince Harry joined on games with competitors and delivered a speech in Birmingham at an event to mark a year to go until the Invictus Games for wounded military personnel being held in the city. As the Founding Patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, Prince Harry traveled to the UK to kick off a multi-day promotional push.

Because the Birmingham Games are taking place from July 10 to July 17, the launch events were held to build local excitement, announce new details, and connect directly with the military community. In his address, Harry urged the UK to strengthen its 'national resilience' and praised veterans' ability to turn adversity into strength.
