Modi Visits Seychelles Botanical Gardens, Plants Coco de Mer Seed

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Seychelles National Botanical Gardens, highlighting the shared environmental and cultural ties between India and Seychelles. One of the world’s largest and longest-living tortoise species, with a lifespan of more than 250 years.

The Prime Minister also fed the tortoises during his visit. Accompanied by President Patrick Herminie, Modi planted a Coco de Mer seed at the gardens. The National Botanical Gardens, a major attraction for both tourists and residents, is home to more than 280 plant species from around the world.
