Digital Maritime Administration: DMA opened Computer Based Examination Centre

A Computer Based Examination (CBE) Centre was opened at the Department of Marine Administration in Dagon Myothit Township, Yangon, on Saturday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister for Transport U Tun Lu said the new centre will modernize the examination system for Myanmar seafarers seeking Certificates of Competency (CoC) by introducing a digital, internationally standardized testing system. He said the project marks an important step toward digital transformation and a Digital Maritime Administration.

The Director General of the Department of Marine Administration also outlined the rules, standard operating procedures and future plans for the centre. After the ceremony, the deputy minister formally inaugurated the centre, observed a live demonstration of the computer-based examination system.
