Monsoon Activity: UAGO organizes tree planting event

The Union Auditor General Office held the 2026 Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony at Temporary Staff Housing (1) in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.

Union Auditor General Daw Naing Thet Oo attended the event, together with the Deputy Auditor General, Permanent Secretary, officials and staff.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Union Auditor General urged annual tree planting as a national duty to create a greener environment, restore climate balance and help prevent natural disasters.

Then, the Union Auditor General, senior officials and staff jointly planted trees at designated areas in Temporary Staff Housing (1) and along both sides of Thukha Mein Road. The Union Auditor General and officials also encouraged the participants.

During the ceremony, a total of 400 trees, including teak, mahogany, shade, fruit and ornamental species were planted to help protect forests and preserve the environment, in line with the motto, "Let's protect our environment for the prosperity of the nation."
