Parliamentary Affairs: Meeting with Hluttaw Committees and MSF

Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw U Khin Yi on Friday held a coordination meeting with committee chairpersons and secretaries to discuss parliamentary work and committee responsibilities.

He stressed the importance of strengthening committees, modernizing parliamentary procedures, improving lawmaking, and enhancing cooperation with international parliaments. He also said priority will be given to drafting a law to combat online scams.

Later, the Speaker met with a delegation from the Myanmar Seafarers' Federation, where they discussed the legal protection, welfare, health, and labor rights of Myanmar seafarers.
