India and Armenia reaffirm commitment to deepening bilateral partnership

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a telephone call from Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday.

During the conversation, Modi congratulated Pashinyan and his party on their victory in Armenia’s recent parliamentary elections and thanked him for facilitating the evacuation of Indian nationals stranded in Iran following recent developments in West Asia. The two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the multifaceted partnership between India and Armenia.

They discussed expanding cooperation in trade, defence, technology and people-to-people exchanges, while expressing their commitment to work closely together to take bilateral relations to new heights.
