Rice planting competition brightens shopping mall in China

An indoor rice planting competition kicked off in Ningbo, China where over 1,000 people experience planting rice in a makeshift paddy field set up on the shopping mall's first floor. Participant Zeng Xiao said the competition allows him to relive the childhood joy of working in the fields with his grandmother, while the event's organiser, Xing Yibo, said it's designed to offer shoppers greater "emotional value" through hands-on social activities.
