India launches 19th Mumbai international film festival

Indian filmmakers, actors, and government officials gathered in India’s entertainment hub Mumbai to launch the 19th edition of the city’s international film festival. The Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) is the oldest and largest non-feature film festival in South Asia, focusing on documentary, short and animation films.

The seven-day festival has received 1,459 entries, with around 350 films from 46 countries selected, and introduces new sections on Marathi films and Echoes from North East.
