Japan’s Rapidus to work with UK, Italian institutions on chip development

Japanese chipmaker Rapidus on Thursday announced to partner with UK and Italian public institutions to collaborate on advanced semiconductor development. The collaborations will focus heavily on manufacturing technologies and research for cutting-edge semiconductor nodes.

Moreover, the Japanese government is fully backing the initiative to bolster economic security and develop strong sales pipelines in both the UK and Italy. Rapidus said the memorandums of understanding will help develop sales channels with local businesses.
