Coordination Meeting: Preparations for organizing the 79th Martyrs’ Day

A coordination meeting for organizing the 79th Martyrs’ Day ceremony was held at the Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

Union Minister U Maung Myint, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Central Organizing Committee, said Martyrs’ Day is an important national event to honor General Aung San and other martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Myanmar’s independence. He called for thorough preparations to ensure smooth and successful organizing of the ceremony.

The meeting discussed arrangements for wreath-laying ceremonies, security measures, museum exhibitions, public awareness activities, educational competitions, media programs, and religious donations to commemorate the martyrs. Committee members and representatives from relevant ministries reported on their preparations, and the meeting concluded with closing remarks from the chairman.
