Judo Coaching Course: Opening of Judo Coaching Course (Level-1) held

The opening ceremony of the Judo Coaching Course (Level-1), organized by the Ministry of Sports under the Olympic Solidarity Program in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Myanmar Olympic Committee (MOC), the International Judo Federation (IJF), and the Myanmar Judo Federation (MJF), was held Monday morning at the multipurpose hall of the Sports Training Camp (Gold Camp) in Nay Pyi Taw.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports U Ye Myint Tun stated that judo is one of the Olympic sports and is a discipline that teaches not only physical fitness but also discipline, respect, and mental strength.

He added that the training course had been organized to enable participants to learn modern sports science techniques and 21st-century coaching skills. He urged the trainees to share the knowledge and experiences gained from the course with others when they return to their respective regions. The Judo Coaching Course will be conducted by instructor Mr. Amar Meridja, who will provide training to 30 trainees over a five-day period from June 8 to 12, it’s learnt.
