India to host BRICS Agriculture Working Group meet

India is all set to host the BRICS Agriculture Working Group meeting from 9th to 13th June, focusing on global food security and agri-tech innovation.

The upcoming BRICS Agriculture Ministers’ conference is seen not just as an international meeting but as a key platform expected to shape and give new direction to global agricultural policies. Meanwhile, Indian Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said agricultural production must increase to ensure food security while also promoting sustainable agriculture.
