Electricity and Energy: Discussion on cooperation in electricity and energy

A delegation led by Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Ko Ko Lwin visited the smart meter manufacturing factory of Telematic Solution Co., Ltd. in Moscow of Russian Federation on Sunday. Officials explained the factory’s production processes.

The Union Minister discussed that Myanmar welcomed possible investment and is ready to integrate advanced smart meter technology into its current system. He also expressed interest in technical cooperation.

In the evening, the Union Minister received officials from Inter Rao Co., Ltd. and discussed matters on improving and repairing gas-powered electricity turbines. The Union Minister called for cooperation in turbine repair, efficiency improvement, and technology sharing to reduce gas loss and invited further technical discussions.
