Development Works: Chief Minister inspects development works in Pathein

Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw inspected cleanliness, beautification, and infrastructure improvement activities across Pathein City on June 6.

He reviewed community clean-up efforts, drainage construction and maintenance, road improvements, and preparations at the port to facilitate passenger and vessel transportation. He urged officials and residents to maintain cleanliness, improve waste management, and ensure proper drainage systems.

The Chief Minister also visited the basic education schools to inspect sports field development projects and encouraged the nurturing of young athletic talent.

Later, he attended a briefing by PTTEPI and officials on the M3 (ASK) gas development project in Pyapon District. The project aims to process offshore natural gas and transport it through pipelines for domestic distribution. Construction is scheduled from 2026 to 2028, with gas production expected to begin in late 2028. He reaffirmed the regional government's support for key energy projects and pledged to help facilitate necessary requirements for their implementation.
