Nepal Foreign Minister begins first official visit to India

Nepal’s Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal arrived in the Indian capital, New Delhi, on Friday for his first official visit to India. The three-day visit, scheduled from 5 to 7 June , marks an important diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring countries.

During the visit, Khanal will hold discussions with India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. The talks are expected to cover key areas including trade, connectivity, energy, and broader bilateral cooperation. The visit is expected to further strengthen the special partnership between Nepal and India.
