Release of Region Census Report: Ayeyawady Region Census Report released

The ceremony for the release of the Ayeyawady Region Report of the 2024 Population and Housing Census was held Wednesday at the Ayeyar Shwe Wah Hall in Pathein. The event was attended by Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw, Region Hluttaw Speaker U Thein Tun, region ministers, officials from statistics-related departments within Ayeyawady Region, and invited guests. The Union Minister delivered the opening remarks.

Afterward, Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw explained the implementation of the 2024 Population and Housing Census in Ayeyawady Region and outlined development plans and activities that would be carried out based on the information contained in the newly released regional report.

The Union Minister then formally handed over the Ayeyawady Region Census Reports to the Chief Minister, who received them on behalf of the region.

Subsequently, at the Township Immigration Office in Labutta, the officials observed staff members carrying out the collection of UID data and the issuance of Citizenship Scrutiny Cards to individuals whose cards had been lost or damaged under the “La Min Project.” They also provided financial assistance and food supplies for the township office staff.
