Work Coordination Meeting: Discussion on infrastructure development

Ministry for Construction held a work coordination meeting on 7th and 8th May at the Ministry with the attendance of Union Minister U Myo Thant.

In his opening remarks, the Union Minister encouraged to emphasize on basic infrastructure devvelopment in transportation and housing development sector under the guidance of the President. Officials from respective regions and states are urged to implement their responsibilities upholding the interest of the nation and department.

He stressed that the tasks carried out during 2025-2026 fiscal year, further work undertaking within 2026-2027 fiscal year and other prioriy projects including rehabilitation and reconstruction projects must be continued in accordance with the existing policies.

The Union Minister also elaborated on systematic budget allocation and utilization and capacity enhancement measures. He also called for the unity among departments and strict adherence to Quality Control Management System. The Deputy Minister later made clarifications on financial rules and regulations. The attendees also presented sector-wise reports and the Union Minister coordinated necessities.
