Work Undertakings: Meeting with trainees and staff in Taunggyi

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Than Maung on Friday inspected the working process at Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center opened at Aye Thayar in Taunggyi of Shan State. Under 100-Day plan of the President, Computer Training Course 2/2026 is being conducted at the center, providing practical and theoretical lectures to the trainees.

The Union Minister later toured around the renovated damaged buildings affected by the Mandalay Earthquake, dining hall and workshops.

During the meeting with the staff and trainees, the Union Minister stated that the ministry is implementing ethnic community development, and the training center could create job opportunities for locals.

The Union Minister called for collective efforts of all in implementing national peace and stability. In the evening, the Union Minister and party proceeded to Shan State Directorate office of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs to meet with the staff and give a speech.

After hearing reports by the officials, the Union Minister and Deputy Minister gave necessary instructions and provided cash award to the staff.
