World Red Cross Day: Commemorative event held in Pathein

A ceremony commemorating the World Red Cross Day was held at the City Hall in Pathein of Ayeyawaddy Region on Friday with the attendance of Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for the active participation of the red cross members in social, health and natural disaster response measures and wished for the long term resilience and unanimous involvment of the red cross members in state development process in line with the 2026 World Red Cross Day theme “ United in Humanity”. 

Afterwards, a message sent by Chairman of Myanmar Red Cross Society was read out. Following this, a video commemorating the World Red Cross Day and 88th Central Council Meeting documentary video clip were screened. Awards were also presented to outstanding individuals.
