Inspection of New Bokpyin Airport: Development works in Bokpyin inspected

Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo, inspected the construction progress of the new Bokpyin Airport building Wednesday morning. The officer in charge of Bokpyin Airport explained the airport-related data and ongoing operational activities, and the Chief Minister provided necessary guidance.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party met with district and township level departmental officials at the Bokpyin District Joint Office Meeting Hall. He stated that the Bokpyin area, with its natural resources, coastal regions, and archipelagoes, is an important region for Taninthayi Region. He noted that sectors such as education, health, transportation, electricity access, drinking water sufficiency, agriculture, fisheries, social welfare, and regional development are directly connected to the daily lives of the people. Therefore, he urged relevant departments to promptly report requirements according to their respective sectors and to coordinate and resolve issues collaboratively.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister and party visited the Marn Aung Pariyatti Monastery in Aung Mingala Ward and the Aung Metta Tawya Kammatthan Monastery in Shwe Bon Thar Ward, Bokpyin Township. They offered alms food, rice, and donation items to the venerable sayadaws.

Later, the Chief Minister and party visited and observed the step-by-step production process of coffee powder being manufactured as a local product from lowland Robusta coffee cultivation by entrepreneur U Maung Lay, providing necessary guidance, it is reported.
