Receiving Ambassador of Pakistan: MOH UM received Ambassador of Pakistan

Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win received Pakistani Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Tariq Karim at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday afternoon.

During the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the health sector such as exchanging medical specialists, enhancing collaboration in medical research, and promoting academic links between medical universities.

They also discussed importing pharmaceuticals and surgical equipment from Pakistan, as well as potential investment in establishing pharmaceutical factories in Myanmar. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister and Directors-General from the Ministry, along with representatives from the Embassy of Pakistan.
