Opening of Vocational Trainings: Taninthayi Region CM delivered the opening address

The opening ceremony for Electrical and Welding Training Course No. (13/2026) at the Training School for Development of National Races Youth in Border Areas (Dawei) was held on May 4 at the school's assembly hall in Dawei, Tanintharyi Region.

During the ceremony, Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo delivered a speech, stating that the region government is actively supporting vocational education to help youth establish their own businesses. He highlighted that there are currently two Vocational Training Schools for Women in Myeik and Kawthaung, and one Training School for Development of National Races Youth in Dawei. He explained that these schools aim to produce skilled laborers for upcoming Deep Sea Port and Industrial Zone projects, ultimately contributing to the overall development of the socio-economic sector. He urged the trainees to complete the entire course, strictly adhere to the school's regulations, and diligently study both the theoretical and practical lessons to achieve full proficiency.

Following this, the Chief Minister and region ministers inspected the educational teaching aids displayed in the hall. The Chief Minister also inspected the trainees' dormitory and cordially greeted the students.

Officials will provide training to 20 trainees on Electrical and Welding subjects. The Electrical course covers domestic wiring and air-conditioning repair, while the Welding course includes electric and gas welding. The program will span 22 weeks, covering everything from basic principles to advanced practical skills, it’s reported.
