Tour in Yangon: President inspects development in Yangon Region

President U Min Aung Hlaing inspected the urban development works in Yangon City on Saturday.

The President, together with high ranking officials, visited Bayintnaung Park in Hlaingthaya Township, and heard reports on systematic communication lines, proper drainage system, relocation of lamp posts and communication towers, beautifying tasks along roadsides, and road upgrade works.

President U Min Aung Hlaing emphasized the need for systematic work implementation and the completion of tasks before the monsoon. He added that urban development projects in Hlaingthaya Township are already in progress to some extent, stressing the importance of drafting a systematic town plan without encroaching on farmland. He also pointed out the need to carry out educational campaigns on traffic rules and called for multifaceted considerations in implementing urban development based on population ratios.

Then, the President and party inspected the beautification measures and the drainage system along Yangon–Pathein Road, as well as the road upgrades in Hlaingthaya Township. They also observed the upgrading of the drainage system and relocation of lamp posts in Shwepyitha Township, along with the relocation of shops encroaching on Hlawgar Road, Pyay Road, Nwe Khway Road, and National Road No. 3 in Mingaladon and North Okkalapa Townships.
