






Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo met with the internally displaced persons at Sit Kae Taw Monastery in Sittwe on Saturday, to provide foodstuff for them.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister explained the state government's efforts for employment opportunities for the displaced persons and grassroot people, increased provision of rice for displaced persons, and prevailing peace and stability in the community as well as the education, health and social matters.
On the same day, farmers in Sittwe were provided with green manure seeds, along with demonstration on broadcasting green manure fertilizer and making natural fertilizer at Sittwe Farm.
Chief Minister urged farmers to use quality seeds for increased production, with the use of natural fertilizer in order to boost soil quality.
On May 1, the Chief Minister toured in Sittwe to view the development works including road embankment, gravel paving, concrete work, draining system, road upgrading and construction of retaining wall.
