Commemorative Event : Ceremony marking the Int'l Workers' Day in Myitkyina

Kachin State marked International Workers’ Day on May 1 with a ceremony organized by the State Labor Affairs Department at the State Government Office in Myitkyina on Friday. Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan attended the event alongside officials, business representatives, and labor organizations.

The Chief Minister read out the 2026 International Workers’ Day message sent by President Agga Maha Thray Sithu Agga Maha Thiri Thudhamma U Min Aung Hlaing. The ceremony also featured a video presentation highlighting labor affairs initiatives, followed by a discussion on the enactment and resolution of labor laws concerning employer–employee issues, presented by the Director of the State Department of Labor.
