The Tatmadaw has fully regained control of Intaw Town and surrounding areas, which had been temporarily under the control of PDF armed groups.

The groups had disrupted local administration, mined government buildings, hospitals, factories, and homes, and forced residents to flee. In response, Tatmadaw forces systematically launched coordinated operations, combining precision strikes with ground maneuvers, successfully restoring control over villages and key routes.

During seven days of operations, there were 17 clashes, resulting in the deaths of 33 armed group members and seizure of weapons and equipment, while some Tatmadawmen sacrificed their lives. Authorities will now focus on restoring infrastructure, clearing landmines, and reopening schools, prioritizing safety and the resumption of daily life for local residents.
