Change of Detention Place : Place of detention for Daw Aung San Su Kyi changed

President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on the occasion of the Full Moon Day of Kason (Buddha Day) with regard for humanitarian compassion and with the loving-kindness and goodwill of the State, has changed the place of detention for Daw Aung San Su Kyi, who is currently serving her sentence at Nay Pyi Taw Prison.

Under Section 541, Subsection (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code, she is to serve the remainder of her sentence at a designated residence.
