Workplace Accident: Myanmar Embassy helps with necessary support

A Myanmar national, Maung San Yu, who was legally working at a steel factory in Hwaseong of Gyeonggi Province in South Korea, died on March 24 after a workplace accident.

The Myanmar Embassy in Seoul helped his widow with necessary support, including obtaining visas to attend the funeral, coordinating with authorities and a law firm to ensure she received all her entitled benefits, such as unpaid wages, overtime, severance, compensation, medical expenses, and legal fees. The embassy continues to assist Myanmar citizens in South Korea according to the law, protecting their rights and welfare.
