Inspection of Damaged Housing: MCRD UM inspected damaged staff housings

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myo Zaw Thein, accompanied by the Deputy Minister and officials, on April 29, inspected the temporary staff housing where the personnel are currently residing after staff quarters of the ministry were damaged by the Mandalay earthquake that struck on March 28, 2025.

The affected housing included staff residences under the Union Minister’s Office, the Department of Cooperatives, and the Department of Small-Scale Industries.

The Union Minister also inspected damage to some of the temporary staff housing caused by strong winds on the evening of April 28, including roof damage and other impacts. He instructed that repairs to roofing and shelters be carried out as quickly as possible. Afterwards, he met cordially with staff families and, in response to their reports, arranged for necessary assistance and support.
