Field Inspection Tour: MOST UM conducted field inspection tour

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw visited the Department of Biotechnology Research on April 28.

The Deputy Director-General, responsible for the department, explained the project activities being implemented by the department. The Union Minister provided necessary guidance and inspected the research displays, laboratories, and a practical demonstration of agricultural soil analysis.

Subsequently, the Union Minister and officials conducted field inspections at the Technological University (Kyaukse), examining the systematic demolition of earthquake-damaged main buildings in accordance with procedures, and the scaled layout planning of building constructions. They inspected the new structures being added and provided guidance, emphasizing that when constructing additional new buildings, earthquake-resistant design structures must be used. They toured the facilities to assess future needs and provided necessary instructions.

Continuing on April 29, the Union Minister, accompanied by responsible officials, visited the Myanmar Aerospace and Aeronautics University, the Technological University (Meiktila) in the morning, and the Technological University (Yamethin) in the afternoon.

He conducted field inspections of the demolition of earthquake-damaged structures, the preparation of classrooms and laboratories, and the layout planning for football fields, student dormitories, and staff housing areas based on scaled plans. He provided necessary guidance. During the trip, the Union Minister addressed the presentations of rectors, department heads, teachers, and staff, providing necessary support and follow-up actions.
