


A ceremony for further clarification on the President's directives and a discussion on the government's 100-day plan was held on April 29, at the Saturanga Bala Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, U Tin Maung Swe, attended and delivered an address. At the ceremony, Union Minister U Tin Maung Swe stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responsibilities to implement as part of the government's work plan.
He explained that the State adopts an independent, active, and non-aligned foreign policy, prioritizes world peace and maintaining friendly international relations, and upholds the principles of peaceful coexistence among nations. Therefore, he emphasized that they must have a precise understanding of the interpretations of the foreign policy and must operate in accordance with the President's directive to conduct affairs based on this policy.
He further stated that implementing the President's primary directives regarding balancing foreign policy, relations with ASEAN and partner countries, and enhancing multifaceted relations based on friendship with neighboring regional countries, is necessary as part of the 100-day plan.
Following this, under the leadership of the Union Minister, Deputy Ministers, Ambassadors, Directors-General, and senior officials coordinated and discussed matters related to priority actions to be taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the 100-day plan. The Union Minister then delivered the closing remarks.
