Field Inspection Tour: Bago Region CM inspected regional development works

The Bago Region Chief Minister, U Myo Swe Win, along with region government ministers, conducted field visits on April 27 to enhance agricultural productivity within Pyay Township.

First, the Chief Minister, visited the Shwe Wa Tun multi-agricultural machinery manufacturing workshop in Nawaday Ward, Pyay Township. He inspected the innovative production of tillers, the manufacturing of sugarcane row cutters, the production of hand-held drum seeders, and the production of natural fertilizers and foliar fertilizer liquid for lemon, betel nut, paddy, and sugarcane crops under the brand name "Tha Li Swa " by U Thein Naing in Nawaday Ward. He provided necessary guidance and directives during the inspection.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister inspected the repair and renovation work of the Baw Baw Gyi Pagoda, which was damaged by the Mandalay earthquake, located in the ancient Thayekhittara city area of Hmawzar Village Group, Myo Hta Village, Pyay Township. He directed responsible officials to ensure timely completion before the rainy season, prevent rainwater from entering the cracks, and inspect the structural integrity of large pagodas and smaller surrounding stupas, submitting reports for necessary repairs.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister of Bago Region visited the flood-prone lowland area in Moke Htaw Village Tract, Pyay Township, where a canal measuring 8,900 feet in length was excavated to upgrade the area into rainfed and irrigated farmland. This development will allow year-round cultivation on 1,500 acres of benefited farmland. He met with local farmers to discuss the situation and provided necessary guidance, it’s reported.
