A coordination meeting focused on the Ministry’s plans to increase the disbursement of agricultural cultivation loans and farm machinery loans within the Union Government’s first 100-day plan, was held on April 27 at the meeting hall of the Union Minister’s Office, Ministry of Finance and Revenue (Office No. 26) in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, Union Minister for Finance and Revenue, Dr. Kan Zaw, delivered the guidance on the matters. He emphasized that these loans represent the Government's commitment to the interests of farmers. He cautioned staff of the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank to be extremely careful not to let banking procedures become a hindrance.

He noted that the situation must not become one of "granting the loan in name, but making it impossible to receive in practice." Staff were urged to act with goodwill to ensure that loans reach the hands of farmers accurately and quickly. As these are special loans arranged by the State, the Minister instructed personnel to work together with a "family spirit" to effectively uplift the socio-economic lives of the farming community.
