Agriculture Sector: Provision in Yangon Region

Drum seeders, solar water pumps, pure rice varieties, sunn hemp seeds and natural fertilizers were provided to farmers for the 2025–2026 summer paddy and 2026–2027 monsoon paddy seasons in Taikkyi Township of Yangon Region on Monday.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended the event and delivered an opening speech. Also, Chairman of Taikkyi District Management and Administration Committee U Thu Aung provided brief reports on the district’s agricultural activities. The Chief Minister and officials then distributed the agricultural inputs to farmers in the district. They later inspected harvesting operations, straw baling machines and agricultural exhibits.
