People's Military Service: Inauguration of 24th Intake in Shan State (South)

People’s Military Service Training No. 24 inaugurated at the parade ground of the Military Computer and Technological Institute (MCTI) in Hopong Township of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone in Shan State (South) on Monday morning.

Shan State Chief Minister U Sai Htein Soe attended the ceremony, accompanied by the Eastern Command Commander Brigadier General Kyaw Naing Oo, Chairman of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Administration Body U Khun Pho Sein and concerned officials.

Trainees of the 24th intake saluted the State flag and Acting Principal of MCTI, Colonel Than Naing Lwin delivered the opening remark. A follow-up meeting was held at Bayintnaung Hall, where the Chief Minister and the Eastern Command Commander explained the objectives of the training, recruitment procedures and key requirements. They also encouraged the trainees and presented cash of honor through the Acting Principal.
