Work Undertakings: Chief Minister inspects plantations and meets teachers in Sittwe

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo, together with officials, visited the nursery garden of the Forestry Department on April 25 to oversee the growth and condition of planted trees and medicinal plants.

The Chief Minister emphasized to plant trees suitable for the local area, replacing damaged trees after storms, and ensuring proper care for growing trees. He also encouraged systematic planting to support urban greenery, clean and beautiful surroundings, and public well-being.

Later, the Chief Minister and party met teachers and staff from Sittwe Technological University and the Government Technical High School. He highlighted government efforts to improve education, encouraged practical teaching methods, and stressed the importance of well-equipped libraries, classrooms, and clean school environments for students’ learning. They also toured school facilities including libraries, computer labs, classrooms, workshops, and sports fields.
