Pharmaceutical Indutries: Union Minister meets Myanmar Pharmaceutical officials

Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Thwin Aung, met with officials of Myanmar Pharmaceutical Industries at the headquarters on Saturday.

The Union Minister inspected the production planning, procurement of raw materials, factory management, and workforce development. He emphasized to follow national policies, regulations, and standard operating procedures to produce quality essential medicines that meet international standards. Officials reported on current production capacity, research for new medicines, and plans to meet public demand in the current fiscal year.

The Union Minister instructed to restructure the management teams promptly, to assign responsibilities clearly, and to conduct all processes for procurement, production, and record-keeping transparently and efficiently. He also stressed the importance of digitalizing office operations, maintaining clean and safe work environments, and ensuring fire safety measures are in place.
