







Union Minister for Transport U Mya Tun Oo, accompanied by concerned officials, inspected operation process of Myanmar National Airlines at Yangon International Airport on Saturday.
The Union Minister visited the Aircraft Maintenance Department, where engineers reported on routine inspections, scheduled maintenance, and pre- and post-flight safety checks.
The Union Minister emphasized the importance of strict adherence to standards, proper preparation of spare parts, and effective coordination across units to ensure safe operations. At the Ground Services Department, the Union Minister assessed equipment, vehicles, and services provided for domestic and international flights.
He instructed to maintain machinery properly, ensure well-trained, and conduct safety drills and regular performance monitoring. He also inspected the work operations at the Flight Operations Department.
The Union Minister also met with the Board of Directors, highlighting the need to follow maintenance schedules, fully utilize ATR aircraft, and ensure Myanmar National Airlines operates safely and reliably as the country’s flag carrier.
He urged all to follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate flight logs. The visit concluded with a meeting at the Aviation Science Training Hall, where the Union Minister encouraged employees to continue improving airline management, training, and operational safety.
