Opening of Dip. EP Course : Taninthayi Region CM delivered the opening speech

The opening ceremony of the Diploma in Education and Pedagogy (Dip.EP) Course, Batch (2/2026), was held on April 23 at the Teikkha Pyinnyar Hall of the Dawei Education Degree College in Dawei, Taninthayi Region. The ceremony commenced with a performance by teachers titled "Comprehensive-Oriented DEDC."

During the ceremony, Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo delivered a speech, stating that the government is implementing the objective "Let’s encourage education for national development," which is one of the nation's three main objectives. He emphasized that the perpetuation and sustainable development of the country are passed from one generation to the next, and it is essential to continuously nurture the human resources who will assume national responsibilities in the future. He added that efforts are being made to promote youth participation in the country's development processes.

Following the speech, the Principal of the Dawei Education Degree College presented facts and details regarding the training. The Region Chief Minister then provided 3 million Kyats of cash of honor for the trainee teachers and cordially greeted them.

A total of 270 trainee teachers are attending the Diploma in Education and Pedagogy (Dip.EP) Batch (2/2026), which will provide theoretical and written instruction until May 22, it’s reported.
