Meeting with Trainees: Mon State CM met with nursing and midwifery trainees

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Win Than, accompanied by state ministers and officials, met with students from the Nursing Training School (Mawlamyine) and the Midwifery Training School (Mawlamyine) in the afternoon of April 21. During the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that students must set a goal to become excellent nurses and midwives who can provide care with full goodwill toward patients, utilizing their acquired skills to achieve the Ministry of Health's primary objective: ensuring all citizens live long, healthy lives free from disease. After providing food supplies for the students, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the student hostels, practical rooms, and the educational demonstration equipment gallery at the nursing school.

On the morning of April 22, the Chief Minister and party visited the Myanma Economic Bank Branch (1) to observe the collection of biographic and biometric data for the issuance of Smart Cards to retired civil servants. During the visit, they inspected the distribution of rice, oil, salt, eggs, and nutritional snacks to the retirees, as well as the sale of basic foodstuffs at subsidized prices organized on pension payment days.

The Chief Minister and party then proceeded to No. (9) Basic Education High School in Mawlamyine to encourage those participating in the Basic Literacy Program. He engaged cordially with the instructors and learners, offering words of encouragement and donating food and stationery for the groups of literacy program.

Similarly, the Chief Minister visited the Kyaik Thoke Pagoda in Mawlamyine to offer flowers, oil lamps, and water. Following his visit to the pagoda, the Chief Minister observed and encouraged rural and ethnic citizens participating in literacy program and presented them with food supplies and stationery, it’s reported.
