




A meeting to further elaborate on the guidance provided by the President during the Union Government Meeting on April 19, and the government’s 100-Day Plan, was held on April 21 at the assembly hall of Office No. (16), Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development.
Union Minister U Myo Zaw Thein attended and delivered the opening remarks. During the ceremony, Union Minister U Myo Zaw Thein stated that the event aimed to ensure that all staff which is the primary driving force of the Ministry, are informed of and comply with the President’s guidance for national development.
He noted the President’s emphasis that economic prosperity is essential for national growth, requiring a focus on developing the agriculture, livestock, forestry, and fishery sectors, which are the main livelihoods of rural communities. He highlighted the need for collaboration in the implementing comprehensive rural development based on the cooperative system, developing small-scale industries to create job opportunities, developing rural roads and bridges.
The Union Minister further explained the President's instructions to prioritize boosting production to grow the national economy. This includes ensuring access to necessary inputs, irrigation water, and solar-powered electricity. He also stressed the success of MSMEs and encouraged efforts to utilize local raw materials to produce goods for export.
And the Union Minister urged staff to take pride in their work and to serve with goodwill, responsibility, and loyalty. He called on them to strive diligently in tasks aimed at increasing agricultural and livestock production, enhancing the socio-economic lives of rural people, developing rural infrastructure, and creating jobs to increase family incomes.
