Shan State Gov. Meeting: Shan State CM delivered an address at the meeting

On April 20, Shan State Chief Minister U Sai Htin Soe, attended the State Government's Coordination Meeting (3/2026) held at the meeting hall of the Shan State Government Office in Taunggyi.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister of Shan State, U Sai Htein Soe, stated that Shan State is the largest state in Myanmar by area and is home to many ethnic nationalities. Therefore, the government must do its utmost to implement and ensure the rights and entitlements of each ethnic group and to improve their living standards. Furthermore, he discussed and directed the development of the agriculture and livestock sectors, the health sector, MSME enterprises, the environmental conservation sector, and the electricity and energy sector. He called on all responsible officials, together with the state government, to collectively strive for the comprehensive development of both urban and rural areas throughout Shan State.

Afterward, the Secretary of the State Government clarified the completion status of decisions made at the previous month's meeting. State, district, and township level departmental heads attending the meeting introduced themselves individually by department. Then, the State Ministers, State Ministers for Ethnic Affairs, the State Advocate General, the State Auditor-General, the Chairpersons of the Leading Committees of Self-Administered Zones, and the Secretary of the State Government re-introduced themselves.

Following this, the State Ministers, the State Ministers for Ethnic Affairs, the Chairman of the Leading Committee of the Danu Self-Administered Zone, the State Auditor-General, and the State Government Secretary clarified matters related to tasks to be carried out moving forward.

Afterwards, general discussions were held, and the State Chief Minister delivered the concluding remarks, it’s reported.
