Tour in Yangon: MONREC Union Minister tours in Yangon

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Hsan Oo on Sunday, visited the Mingaladon Nursery Garden in Mingaladon Township of Yangon Region.

An official reported on preparations for the 2026 monsoon tree-planting campaigns, distribution of seedlings to the public, and arrangements for a national-level tree-planting event. The Union Minister instructed to prepare land in advance for the national-level event, collect seedlings at least 3 feet tall, and increase efforts to expand tree planting to reduce climate change impacts.

The Union Minister then visited No.9 Saw Mill under the Myanma Timber Enterprise in Wahtaya Industrial Zone in Shwepyitha Township, where officials explained the operation process. In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with officials from departments and enterprises under the ministry in Yangon and instructed them to fully carry out their assigned duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
