Fuel Supply for Agriculture : Direct fuel supply provided for farmers in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Electricity and Energy is distributing locally produced diesel to farmers in Nay Pyi Taw at a subsidized price to support agricultural activities. In cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and the Nay Pyi Taw Council, diesel is being sold directly at worksites for 10,000 kyats per gallon to ease fuel shortages and reduce costs for farmers.

On April 18, a total of 4,542 gallons were distributed at seven locations across Lewe, Pyinmana, and Zeyathiri townships for use in summer paddy and oil crop cultivation. The program will continue in Tatkon Township and is planned to expand to other regions and states with the recommendations of respective local governments.
