Indonesia President leads final tribute for fallen TNI peacekeepers

Indonesia President Prabowo Subianto paid his final respects to three Indonesian National Armed Forces soldiers who were killed while serving in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon. The solemn lying-in-state and farewell ceremony took place at the VVIP Building of Terminal 3 at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport on April 4.

The President was accompanied by Indonesia’s 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, senior government officials, and top military and police leaders, who extended condolences to the families. The ceremony concluded with a final honor guard as a tribute to the soldiers’ service and sacrifice for the nation.
