









The Parade of the 81st Anniversary Armed Forces Day took place at Nay Pyi Taw military parade ground on Friday, with an address by Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhama Min Aung Hlaing.
Led by the Parade Commander, the Bagpipe Band, Central Military Band, Honorary Cavalry Squadron, mechanized columns, officers and ranks from seven parade columns, and female military personnel, marched from Thit Tat Ground to the Military Parade Ground, chanting the military songs.
Along the route, the wife of the Senior General, together with the wives of senior military officers, as well as family members, artists, and the local community welcomed the military columns by honoring them with garlands.
On his arrival at the parade ground, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing took position at the dais, taking the salute of the Tatmadaw members and MPF members, accompanied by a 19-gun salute and a flypast by jet fighter. He then inspected the military parade columns by a motorcade.
The Senior General, the military personnel, and members of the MPF also saluted the State Flag and fallen personnel and took the Four Oaths in chorus.
Then, the Senior General made a speech to the parade columns, emphasizing the history of the Tatmadaw which was emerged along with the Independence struggle, and its efforts for transition to the democracy after drafting the constitution.
He pledged to continue efforts to safeguard the Three Main National Causes, striving for the interest of the nation. He also stressed the implementation of people's security since peace and stability play fundamental for socio-economic development of people. He reiterated the efforts for peace process through holding of peace dialogues with the ethnic armed organizations. He also mentioned the holding of Hluttaw sessions with the participation of the elected representatives by the people, who will serve for betterment of the nation. He urged all stand firmly as a patriotic Tatmadaw, serving for the interest of the nation and its people.
Then, the military columns left the parade ground, marching past the Senior General, paying salute. Meanwhile, aircrafts and helicopters from Tatmadaw (Air) flew in various formations, including the Trail Formations, and Echelon Formations, honoring the 81st anniversary Armed Forces Day. The parade ground is alive with the bronze statues of three emperors who established first, second and third Myanmar empires as well as the torch and emblems of the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day.
In addition, various flags representing the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air), Directorates of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), respective military commands and divisions are being hoisted. Meanwhile, the routes along the marching of military columns and the archway of the parade ground were illuminated with Truss Beam, Light Box, and Lighting Pole, as well as the LED Strip Light depicting the representing color of each military column. Likewise, streets were illuminated with colorful lights along with the banners and flags of the state and Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, Air).
