Red Carpet Welcome : President receives a state-level welcome ceremony

President U Min Aung Hlaing was accorded a state-level welcome ceremony by Vietnamese President Tô Lâm at the forecourt of the National Assembly Building in Hanoi on Saturday.

On arrival of the President and his wife at the venue, they were received by President Tô Lâm and his wife. Vietnamese schoolchildren also welcomed the visiting couple with bouquets of flowers. The two presidents then proceeded to the ceremonial podium, where they received a Guard of Honour salute accompanied by the national anthems of Myanmar and Viet Nam.

Following the ceremony, President U Min Aung Hlaing and President Tô Lâm inspected the Guard of Honour. The two presidents and their wives later introduced senior officials and representatives from their respective delegations.

Union Ministers, deputy ministers and concerned officials accompanying President U Min Aung Hlaing also attended the ceremony. President U Min Aung Hlaing is in Viet Nam for a three-day official visit from September 4 to 6 at the invitation of President Tô Lâm.
