Driving restrictions start Wednesday

To respond to the oil supply disruption, South Korean government has implemented a mandatory 5-day vehicle restriction for public institutions starting Wednesday, based on the last digit of license plates.

Despite the continuous spike in international oil prices, domestic fuel prices have been on decline because of the price cap. As a result, petroleum consumption in the nation remains as high as usual, despite growing concerns about disruptions in crude oil supply.
